Identify some of your main attributes. Describe your qualifications, career history and range of skills, emphasising those skills relevant to the job on offer.
What have your achievements been to date?Select an achievement that is work-related and fairly recent. Identify the skills you used in the achievement and quantify the benefit it had to the company.
Describe a difficult situation, and how did you resolve it?Briefly explain the scenario and how you tackled the problem. What were the options, why you selected the one that you did and what the outcome was. Always end on a positive note.
What do you like about your present job?Be enthusiastic; describe your job as interesting and diverse but do not overdo it - after all, you are looking to leave.
What do you dislike about your present job?Be cautious with this answer. Explain your reasons for wanting to leave your current role, however try not to be negative about your job and above all do not be negative about your current employer.
What are your strengths?Be prepared for this question. Concentrate on selling your main strengths. Some examples can be Positive attitude, determinatio to succeed, having good management skills and being good at resolving conflicts and problems.
What are your weaknesses?They are not looking for perfection; do not say you have none. The most important thing to remember in a situation like this is to be honest, but there is no need to tell them all of your little quirks
Why do you want to leave your current employer?Explain your reasons for leaving in the best light possible. Really the best practice is always be honest, such as, "This job really didn't have advancement opportunities that I was seeking."
